Till July: Browns Wrap Up Final Minicamp Till the Real Deal Starts

Today marked the last day of Browns mini-camp and it is the final practice before the training camp starts in late July. The team worked on special teams with kicker Phil Dawson going three for three on field goals through the skinny up-rights.

Kicker Shaun Suisham was not as accurate going one for three in his chances. Suisham would have been two for three if they were kicked on regulation up-rights. The team also worked on the hurry-up offense with all the quarterbacks in camp getting reps.

They were also seen in the “wildcat” set with QB’s Jake Delhomme, Seneca Wallace, and wide receiver Josh Cribbs on the field at the same time. When Delhomme was asked about the prospects of using more than one quarterback he said, “I’m better than good with it”.

He also mentioned that Wallace can not only run the football, but he can really throw it well also. He also said, “Number sixteen isn’t bad himself”, referring to Cribbs. Head coach Eric Mangini said of Delhomme that he has done a great job so far the way he runs the offense, and he is in total control when he is on the field.

Something worth mentioning is that free agent rookie wide receiver Johnathan Haggerty seemed to catch everything thrown even remotely close to him today.
