Browns Another Team With No Interest in Terrell Owens

If you were hoping that the Browns may have some interest in signing former 49ers, Eagles, Cowboys and Bills wide out Terrell Owens – not gonna happen. The PD and National Football Post that the Browns are yet another team that has no interest in Owens, who remains on the open market.

Cross another team off the list of potential landing spots for veteran free agent wide receiver Terrell Owens.

The Cleveland Browns are still not interested, according to the Cleveland Plain Dealer.

That comes directly from general manager Tom Heckert.

Per the report, Owens is not viewed as a dominant player anymore and he’s regarded as a disruptive guy in terms of the locker room.

Owens refuted those notions a few weeks back during an NFL Network interview.

However, the interview didn’t seem to change anything for him.

He may have to wait until someone gets hurt to get another shot.

Thank goodness; common sense is starting to prevail.

No need for this guy ’round here.

To disagree…..If we can get him under the value he is worth I think it could be a good move. I think once he gets desperate and finally realizes nobody is going to take his ego he will come into a team however that contract will have so many stipulations to gag his mouth it will take a week just to write, like he had in Philly. He is better than any receiver we have on our roster and with a veteran like #17 it could be good for a year or 2 while our young receivers improve. At his age is remarkable that he has taken care of his body and can still play at a high level and that’s a valuable lesson to teach our young guys. TO does not get the respect that he deserves in this aspect he has taken care of himself and has played well into his 30s. I think he is a hall of fame guy however I able to look at the players skills and put them into context and put aside personal objections to a guys personality. He is just not personally a likable guy so he is underrated.

He would take away reps. from the younger receivers who absolutely need them.

What? He is not the mentor we need for our youngsters. He is selfish and distraction. Plus he is no more than average these days. Remember who was second to Braylon on drops? Yep, Owens.
