Could the Browns Still Get Former OSU QB Troy Smith?

The Baltimore Ravens on Wednesday made an interesting move, inking former Rams QB Marc Bulger to be their backup QB for Joe Flacco.

The move may have more impact on a current Raven, as with Bulger coming in it does nothing more than move former Heisman Trophy winner and Ohio State QB Troy Smith further away from being a starter.

Ravens beat reporter Jamison Hensley put a note on his Twitter earlier that the end of Smith’s time as a Raven could be coming:

The Bulger signing is not a good sign for Troy Smith, who might get his wish to play elsewhere

Could that elsewhere be with the Browns? Smith has said he wants to play for the Browns, and the team could use a guy with his ability. While they already have Seneca Wallace waiting in the wings for Jake Delhomme, a lot of Browns fans would love to see Smith in Brown and Orange.

I hope not. Honestly i’d rather see Quinn return or even Couch. I’d rather see Quinn win an award at Denver. Not another controversy, please. we’re probably gonna hear a million opinions the way it is a couple games into the season how we shouold a kept anderson, or should start wallace, or blah, blah, blah.
