Cleveland Browns Jerseys

In Jake Delhomme we trust….

The Browns Quarterback position is in a much better position then what it has been in years past. Thanks to Jake Delhomme and Senecca Wallace coming to Cleveland and adding much needed leadership at the position. Mangini said today that it is Delhommes job to lose this summer in camp. How nice is it that we don’t have a Quarterback controversy in training camp? We won’t know what the veteran has left in the tank until the real games start but it has to be better then last year. Although Delhomme has struggled the past two seasons as an NFL starter and doesn’t have the talent at the skill positions as he has had in the past the Browns offensive line will be much better then the Panthers line the past two seasons.

This is a run-oriented offense with some nifty gadgets with Cribbs and Wallace. I see ball control, medium range passes with occasional downfield shots, and 35-45 rushes per game with a total of 70+ offensive plays per game, if the offense works as designed. Yards per pass should be in the 7-10 range and average years per rush in the 3.8-4.3 range. They should be OK in starting field position. Overall, they should match up statistically about even with much of the NFL.
