Day four thoughts….

From Cleveland.com

TRAINING CAMP LOG: AUG. 4
What happened: At one point during the afternoon practice, defensive coordinator Rob Ryan commanded his troops to “play some freakin’ defense!” On a goal-line drill at the end of practice, they did just that.
The first-team defense, at least.
It stopped the offense on three straight tries from the 1: Abe Elam prevented Jake Delhomme from sneaking in on the right side, Jerome Harrison was stuffed on a run up the middle and Chris Gocong picked off Delhomme on the left side of the end zone.
The second-team offense fared better. James Davis ran in for a TD on the left side, Seneca Wallace faked a handoff left to Davis and then hit Evan Moore in the back right corner of the end zone. On the third try, No. 1 pick Joe Haden broke up a pass from Wallace to Moore on the right side of the end zone.

OH-IO: Receiver Brian Robiskie caught a 50-yard touchdown pass from Delhomme over Mike Adams in the morning session and continues to draw rave reviews. … In the afternoon, the offense hit TD passes left and right: Delhomme found Mohamed Massaquoi on a post, Moore caught a 20-yarder from Wallace over Kaluka Maiva and Bobby Engram beat rookie Larry Asante for a TD in the right corner of the end zone. Robert Royal beat rookie T.J. Ward for a short TD on a post and Wallace also connected with John Haggerty for six.
The defense did have its moments though. Gerard Lawson broke up a pass in the end zone to Haggerty and Scott Fujita — who earlier batted down a Delhomme attempt at the line — swatted down one at the goal-line from Wallace to tight end Alex Smith.

Three’s not a crowd: The Browns were down to three running backs because of minor injuries to Montario Hardesty, Peyton Hillis and Lawrence Vickers. It didn’t stop Harrison, Davis and Chris Jennings from getting the best of the defense in evening 7-on-7 running drills.

Injuries: The following players were idle for one or both practices; LB Eric Barton, RB Peyton Hillis, P Dave Zastudil, DB DeAngelo Smith, DB Chris Roberson, LB Titus Brown, OL Paul Fanaika, FB Lawrence Vickers, and DL Derreck Robinson.
