DB Lawson Arrested for Hit-Skip and Driving Under the Influence

Bad news for Browns DB Gerard Lawson, who was arrested after a hit-skip incident Sunday night. Plus he was under the influence, so it’s a double whammy for a guy that needs to show some things to make it on the club:

Defensive back Gerard Lawson is in trouble with the law. Lawson was jailed Sunday night after hitting a car in a hit-skip accident, according to the Cleveland Plain Dealer.

He was charged with driving under the influence and hit-skip. Lawson played in five games for the Browns last season,

“We are aware of the situation with Gerard and are continuing to gather all the information,” Browns general manager Tom Heckert said in a statement. “Until we have done that, we will not make any further comment.”
