Hardesty tears ACL; likely out for the season

Browns running back Montario Hardesty left last night’s game with a left knee injury, and the preliminary diagnosis is a torn ACL, ESPN’s Adam Schefter. Hardesty battled injuries throughout his college career, including a torn ACL in his right knee as a freshman.

A bone bruise to his right knee kept Hardesty sidelined for most of training camp and the first three pre-season games. Losing Hardesty for the season would be a big blow to the Browns’ running game, which was looking to pair the 6-0, 225-pounder with Jerome Harrison (5-9, 205) to hopefully a running back tandem capable of moving the chains and controlling the clock.

With Hardesty out, 2009 sixth-round pick James Davis, who spent much of his rookie season on injured reserve with a shoulder injury, is expected to gain more carries, as will Peyton Hillis.

They knew he was injury proned when they drafted him. There goes a wasted draft pick, (AGAIN).

Brian Daboll our bone-headed rookie inexperienced O-Coordinator I know for a fact pushed for this pick…he is such a freeeeekin’ idiot…this is proof. Who the hell drafts someone like this let alone give up 100 drafts picks to drop down and select him…Ahhhhhh!!! PLEASE get rid of Daboll…is he related to Mangini???

…you just don’t take chances like that when you are trying to rebuild a team from the groun-up…what the??? Does anyone seriously think he will return 100%?? I’m so sick to my stomach now…we could have selected Campbell (O-Line) with that pick…or someone healthy…I’m going to throw up and pray that Daboll does not last the year.

…a 6th or 7th round possible risk…maybe…but give up all those high picks to move down … like walking out to the edge of a 10 story building cause there is a good view and hoping for no strong wind or bad weather…Ahhhh!! It was bound to happen…do the math…he had history…does anyone want to dispute that this was a B. Daboll baby??? Hmmm…I need a strong big runner to improve my offensive passing game…hmmmm…theres one let me talk my boss into talking to his boss about moving down and giving up multiple picks…Ahhhhhh!!!!!

    I’m so sick of incompetent front-office staff…GOD!!!!
