Delhomme wears a boot; to be listed as questionable

The news on Jake Delhomme isn’t good, as he will be listed as questionable for Sunday’s home game vs the Chiefs.

Browns quarterback Jake Delhomme wore a walking boot on Tuesday, two days after injuring his right ankle in the 17-14 loss against Tampa Bay, according to a league source. But the club had no update on whether Delhomme had an MRI exam or its results. The source said that all indications are that backup Seneca Wallace could receive the bulk of reps with the No. 1 offense Wednesday in preparation for Sunday’s home opener against Kansas City. Delhomme will begin the work week probably listed as questionable.

I think senneca shoould get the reps. no sense playin delhommy hurt. it’ll just get inside his head more if he’s hurt; and probably in a different way if he’s replaced. but what i saw last week, i can’t believe they kept him in. senneca either isn’t/waasn’t ready, or they didn’t see what we could from our t.v. angles. the last thing anyone wants is a qb controversy, but that can be looked at in two ways; you can start one by not using the right guy at the right time, too.

Jake is wearing a boot already. From my perspective, he sits this Sunday. Play Seneca and use the injury as the reason. Nobody has to get their heads messed up about that. Cleveland has a well-deserved rep as a QB killer. How many starting QBs since the return of the franchise — including 2 first round draft choices? The last thing we need is to start bouncing QBs like ping-pong balls this early in the season.
