Cleveland Browns Jerseys

Thoughts on the Ring of Honor….

As expected Jim Brown didn’t show up for the Ring of Honor ceremony at Halftime of the home opener. Mike Holmgren brought the idea over from Green Bay about honoring the greats that have played for the Cleveland Browns.

The Ring of Honor, which now surrounds the top deck at the Stadium, pays tribute to the club’s 16 members that have been enshrined into the Hall of Fame. The team is one of the most storied franchises in the NFL and has been needing something like this since they have been back.

I was interested in seeing how Jim Brown’s reaction would be from the fans. It was a mixture of cheers and boo’s, he was the first player that was honored during the ceremony. I didn’t boo him but was expecting a louder boo’s  towards a guy who has disrespected this city for a quite awhile now. The loudest ovation was given to another player who wasn’t there in Ozzie Newsome. Overall the ceremony was very nice and well deserved for the players and fans of the Cleveland Browns.
