Browns quarterback Jake Delhomme is not practicing for the third consecutive week because of a sprained ankle. Delhomme has been sidelined since rolling his right ankle while throwing an interception in Cleveland’s season-opening loss at Tampa Bay. He was inactive the past two weeks with backup Seneca Wallace starting losses against the Chiefs and Ravens.
Coach Eric Mangini said Delhomme could “potentially” practice on Thursday or Friday. Mangini said he wants Delhomme to be healthy and play, and he said that’s not a knock on Wallace, who threw two touchdown passes and one interception the past two weeks.
