Browns Lose Out on Musgrave; Talk to Jauron About DC Job

The Browns today lost out on offensive coordinator candidate Bill Musgrave, as he agreed to become the OC for the Minnesota Vikings. Another interesting name that has come out for the spot of OC is former Steelers quarterbacks coach Mark Whipple. He was serving in Philly as an offensive assistant.

Musgrave, former quarterbacks coach and assistant head coach of the Falcons, interviewed with the Browns on Tuesday and headed to Minnesota later that night.

On the defensive side, the Browns today spoke to Eagles backfield coach Dick Jauron for the spot of defensive coordinator. Tomorrow Dave Wannstedt will get an interview. Jauron is also a leading candidate for the Eagles coordinator job.
