(On not being limited today at practice)- “I needed to get out there more for conditioning purposes, just to get back in the groove of things. My leg feels fine as you saw out there. I am just happy to be back out there on the field with the players.”
(On if he has an idea of how he will be used in the offense)- “He (Coach Shurmur) is not a big fan of the Wildcat, but he is a big fan giving me the football. Every way he can, out of the pocket, I don’t know if you saw me at quarterback when Colt (McCoy) pitched the ball to me, but he is going to do everything he can to put the ball in the hands of guys that can make plays.”
(On the new kickoff rules)- “Everybody has to go through the same thing. It’s not like it’s just on us so saying that, it’s just another stepping stone. I feel like it’s just another hurdle for me to get over for me to succeed.”
(On how they can strategize for the new rules on kickoffs)- “Deeper sets. (Chris) Tabor is a really good scheme artist. He can scheme up some plays. He had (Devin) Hester in Chicago. He is doing a great job at teaching the guys up front on how to block deep sets, to get their hips turned around, fundamental things that are going to make our special teams unit a great team.”
