Browns Place OL Eric Steinbach on IR – Season Over

The Browns today placed offensive lineman Eric Steinbach on injured reserve, the team announced. Steinbach underwent back surgery today.

A veteran of nine NFL seasons, he has appeared in 125 career regular season games with 124 starts. Originally a second round draft choice (33rd overall) by Cincinnati in 2003, Steinbach joined the Browns in 2007 as an unrestricted free agent, and has opened 62 contests at left guard with the team during that time.
