Hillis Next in Line for a Big Deal from the Browns?

The Browns have already locked up LT Joe Thomas with a huge deal, and now next on the list could be popular running back Peyton Hillis.

Acquired from Denver in the Brady Quinn deal, the former seventh-round pick out of Arkansas had a monster 2010. The 6-foot-1, 246-pound Hillis had 270 carries for 1,177 yards and 11 touchdowns.

He also became the fan favorite of the 5-11 Browns, eventually carrying that to the cover of the new “Madden 12” video game, beating out Eagles QB Michael Vick in the finals.

Hillis has changed agents twice this season, replacing James Sexton with Kelli Masters, who was subsequently replaced by Kennard McGuire.

“Most definitely. I think this team, this city, even the colors, represent who I am. As an individual, as a person and as a player,” Hillis said. “So I would love to be here as long the Browns want me here.”

Hillis is scheduled to earn $600,000 in 2011, which less than what Vikings running back Adrian Peterson will make per week ($630,589, 1/17th of $10.72 million) this upcoming season.
