Multiple sources are now reporting that Cleveland Browns star running back Peyton Hillis is, in fact, on the trading block.
Head coach Pat Shurmur addressed the media during his usual Monday press conference. When asked about the possibility of the team trading Hillis, Shurmur was quick to respond, saying, “I don’t want to talk about trades. I don’t think that’s something that you could, no, he’s not on the trading block.”.
Reports surfaced yesterday that Cleveland’s had a potential deal in place with the Dallas Cowboys. In return for Hillis, the Browns would receive a 2nd Round Draft Pick, a wide receiver (position of need), and a running back, rumored to be Tashard Choice.
With the NFL trading deadline being at 4:00 PM today, we should know rather soon if Hillis will continue his career as a Cleveland Brown, a year after he lead the team in rushing with 1,177 yards.
