Browns to Be a Player in the Sweepstakes for QB Matt Flynn

If getting RG3 is going to be impossible for the Browns with the fourth pick, it may not matter if the team can snag QB Matt Flynn off the free agent market before draft day.

Steve Doerschuk of the Canton Repository reports that the Browns “will make a play” for Flynn, who is set to hit free agency on March 13th.

Make no mistake, the Browns will be one of many suitors for Flynn, and many think that the backup to Aaron Rodgers is going to find his way back with former OC coach Joe Philbin, who is now the coach in Miami.

If the Dolphins can land Flynn, it will take them out of the running for Griffin III, who will still be the target of a couple teams, including the Redskins, Hawks and Browns.

If the price is right, look for the Browns to be a player in the Flynn sweepstakes.

  1. dale says:

They need to let someone else overpay for some guy who had a few good games, but has never been a fulltime starter in the NFL. RG3 is even more athletic than Michael Vick and hopefully won’t end being an animal torturing ghetto scumbag like vick!!
