Richardson’s Twitter Account Talking Up the Browns a Fake

There was a lot of chatter on Saturday about draft prospect Trent Richardson tweeting about wanting to come and play for the Cleveland Browns in 2012.

One of the tweets had a picture of a Browns hat, and another stated:

Well, Browns fans, sorry to say in the end it turns out that the account was a fake.

“It is not real,” Josh Maxson, an associate communications director for the University of Alabama’s athletic department, wrote in an e-mail to the Akron Beacon Journal. “Trent does not have a Twitter [account] and isn’t planning on getting one.”

A lot of people brought the fact it was a real account, as it had over 15,000 followers. It once again goes to show you have to be careful when it comes to believing things you read on twitter.

The Twitter might be fake — but do not be surprised to see this guy as a Brownie . . .
