I prefer Richardson. I remember how effective Payton Hillis was in 2010 — and what a difference this made to the overall offense. It kept the defense off the field and ground yards out against defenses that tired of handling the load. Get the back first, then get the WR and RT. QB can wait another year.

Hillis had such good production that he lead our team to a 4-12 record. And what did the vikings do last year with AP? 3-13. a great running back does not do much for your offense if you have no other options.

Good observations — but this is a draft deep in good WRs; that is, we don’t just get one pick. RB production often depends on the quality of QB and receiving corps. If defenses play 7 or 8 in the box because they have no fear of the QB passing, then no RB is going to make a difference (which also seems to counter my own argument). Good running games create good passing games in this division (there, now I feel better).
