Trent Richardson Back on the Practice Field for Browns

The Browns got good news on Monday, as running back Trent Richardson practiced today for the first time since August 6th.

Richardson had arthroscopic surgery on his left knee to have a piece of loose cartilage removed on August 9th. It’s not known as of this point if he will be able to take the field Sunday, but coach Pat Shurmur recently said he’s “very optimistic” the back will be able to play.

Richardson, the third overall pick in this year’s draft, participated in individual drills during the 15-minute portion of practice open to the media. He wore a black sleeve on his left knee as he ran routes and caught passes.

In addition to Richardson, cornerback Dimitri Patterson and strong safety Ray Ventrone returned to practice.
