Report: Browns Coaching Search Down To Two

Mike Pettine

The coaching search that seems like it will never end appears to finally be getting close to being over, as Adam Schefter of ESPN says the Browns have their sights set on two candidates.

Pettine was expecting to hear something from the team tonight, but that could just be the fact he is a finalist, and that he’s the favorite for the job.

So who is number two? There’s a couple names out there – one being Falcons OC Dirk Koetter, who the team met with early Wednesday.

Also there’s Dan Quinn the defensive coordinator of the Seahawks, but with Seattle getting set for Super Bowl XLVIII, he’s not likely to get the job unless the search stops until after the Super Bowl.

It seems like it’s Pettine’s job to lose at this point.
