Jackson Says He’d Like to Name a Starting QB For the Season Opener by Wednesday

Ken Blaze-USA TODAY Sports

On Wednesday, Hue Jackson will end the suspense and name his starting quarterback not only for Saturday night’s dress rehearsal game in Tampa, but for the season opener against the Steelers, Mary Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.

“I kind of want to put this thing to bed by Wednesday,” Jackson said after Monday night’s 10-6 victory over the Giants. “I kind of want to say, ‘Here is where we are going’ and just move forward in that direction.”

Jackson is confident that he’s ‘seen enough’ to make the right decision.

“I’ve done this long enough in my career and know what it looks like and what it feels like and what it should be,” he said. “I feel pretty good about it. We’ll travel in that direction. If I feel like after watching the tape we need to wait a little longer, we’ll wait a little longer. I just feel like we are at the point where we can move forward and feel good about it.”

I too am very disappointed in the Cleveland Browns. Disrespecting the flag that men fought and died for just to see it wave in foreign lands. The owners should tell the players they have to respect the flag with their hand over their heart while standing or they’re off the team.
We should pay to have every one of them shipped to Afghanistan for a month and fight for our country instead of becoming millionaires by spitting in America’s face.
If they continue to disrespect our flag I’m going to sell my season tickets. Let’s see how many from the organizations they’re supporting will be buyers!

What doesn’t Jackson see in Hogan what the rest of us fans see?
His peripheral vision is awesome and his quick release to the target is unbelievable.
Jackson keeps pushing his favorite quarterbacks when they
will never have the natural talent Hogan has.
If they elease him I hope Pittsburgh or Schottenheimer picks him up because
they’ll know what to do with Hogan’s talent.

Coaching staff is the worst ever. Jackson’s play calling costs us points every game. He can’t manage the clock. Defense positioned too far away to stop opposing teams pass plays. Offense not strong enough to protect our QB. Why are they out of breath? Pitiful.
