I do not believe Quinn was given a fair chance. It was obvious Mangini never liked Quinn; let’s not forget how the former pro players who are TV commentators laughed at how Mangini handled the QB situation and the paranoid secretcy he presented to the sports media. Given a different head coach and experienced receivere Quinn could have grown into a good quarterback; remember it takes 2-3 years to really learn that position.

I like the move to bring in both Quarterbacks (Delhomme, Wallace) as long as we use the situation correctly. Perhaps this is Seneca Wallace’s chance to show that he can be a starter in the NFL, or Delhomme’s chance to show that he is not finished in the NFL. However, both players are not a long term fix for our struggling Browns team. It is time that we develop a quarterback of the future. Maybe that person will not be the sexy pick (Brady Quinn in ‘07) but a player that will fit into Holmgren and Heckert’s vision of a franchise that rises from the bottom to be force in the coming years of NFL football.

I’m hearing too much of “Browns and Bradford” or “Browns and Clausen” yes, those qbs are good.
But look what happened to our last ND qb. :s
Why not look deeper in the draft for a qb. Someone like Dan Levour from Western Michigan.
I believe he’s the next Peyton Manning, and could go as low as the 4th round.. I’m just tired of seeing the Browns stockpile draft picks. THEN NOT PLAYING THE ROOKIES. (sigh) nothing good will happen this year with the brownies.. it never does

As a Broncos fan, I am sick about this trade. I have nothing against Quinn, but Peyton Hillis is a player. He runs over people, and I’m not just talking about cornerbacks. He has great hands and is a good blocker. Maybe this is the Browns revenge for all those years we’ve had your number.

Butch: How do you like “Holmy” now? I had a bad feeling from the beginning and bringing in DelHomme and getting rid of Quinn totally contradicts what he said when he got to Cleveland. He said build the team around the qb, the qb is the most important factor. So…he brings in someone that is 35 whose record looks pretty much like DA’s. I am PISSED!!!!!!

I am just sick and tired of new regimes bringing in their guys and starting over, period. Big show or not, here we go starting over again. I’m sorry, Jake is no better and may be worse than DA; and the logic of either wallace or another new draft pick when you have a guy here that hasn’t had enough time to play and make a few mistakes and improve, who is as intelligent as BQ, just does not make sense. especially with the friendly contract he has. good luck BQ. he egos in front of us are substantial.
