Phil has been better than average among kickers in the league, especially last year down the stretch beginning with that long zinger to win the game in Buffalo. But without knowing what Dawson's demands are, I'm certainly not prepared to call upon the Team to meet those at any price. What I mean by that is I think the Teams will be more bunched together in terms of the standings, with as few as 4 wins separating first from last. Unfortunately, notwithstanding my appreciation for the eternal optimism that this website puts forth, I don't see the standings turning out the way you have predicted. I still think the Steelers and the Ravens will battle for first while the Browns and the Bengals will battle for third. I think the AFC North will be the most competitive this year that it has been in a while. If they don't baby him in training camp and he gets a little toughened up, he'll surprize lots. I look for him to get better every week and do very well.
